Changing Habits

Want to be free of unwanted habits? Want to empower lasting change?Just how do you go about changing behavior using hypnosis? Well, now it's time to learn about it! It helps if you understand what a habit is: It is just a pre-programmed behavior that your body uses when it encounters the right trigger. You do it without even thinking about it. If it is an undesirable behavior...then you do it unless you consciously will yourself not to. (until you aren't focusing on it, and then you do it again anyway...don't you!) Whenever you try and "force" yourself not to "react" to something, your body becomes in conflict with itself. Part of you is trying to react, and another part of you is trying to prevent you from reacting. Interestingly, this is what "stress" really is. It is quite literally your body trying to go in two directions at the same time. One muscle fighting another muscle. Usually felt in the area around your neck, shoulders, and upper back. A physical conflict within the body. This is why those muscles get stiff and sore. You may notice that up above, I called a habit a pre-programmed behavior (reaction). If you read the section here about how the mind works; You understand not only that this is how the autopilot operates, but that the autopilot holds the key to your desired change. When it comes to changing behavior, you need to change the programming that drives them. So to change that programming, we need to be able to talk directly to the autopilot. If you read the section about how hypnosis works, you understand that it is used to create a direct communication channel to the autopilot. Ah!.. the plot thickens! But, something you also need to understand is: that hypnosis will not MAKE you change anything. (Read that last sentence again...slowly...as many times as you need to, for it to sink in.) Hypnosis is about desire, and permission. Not robbing you of free will! Most people who have had limited success when going to a hypnotist for change work, did so because they were expecting hypnosis to do it for them. Hypnosis will not turn you into a mindless zombie. Which is what these people were really asking for it to do. That's like wanting to throw away your own free will. On the other hand...if you desire the change, and allow the autopilot programming to be altered in a beneficial way, then YOU ARE EMPOWERED to overcome the habit. This is normally done by changing the focus of the programming: to provide as good as, or even a better outcome, but without the unwanted behavior being a part of it. You see, there is a specific reason that you do the behavior. The reason might have been established long long ago, but it is still why you do the activity. The primary driver so to speak. Any undesired habit can be overcome if your have the desire to be rid of it, and you allow the change to happen. If interested in finding out how to go about it...click on a link below.
